The current release of MICAS-X is 3.3.6, released in April, 2022 in LabVIEW 2018.

Version 3.0.0 of MICAS-X was released in September, 2018, and marked the transition to LabVIEW 2018.

MICAS-X 2.0.0 was released Q1 2016. It is written in LabVIEW 2015, and include a new Driver model with the ability to turn individual Drivers on and off while MICAS-X is running. Due to the new version of LabVIEW and the new Driver model, version 2.0.0 is a paid upgrade. Numerous minor updates to MICAS-X 2.x have also been released.

Version 1.5.1 was released in June of 2015. Numerous new features, Drivers, and Displays are available with this version. New features include increased Sequence functionality, new Commands, Security options, improved OSDS support, new timing functionality in all Drivers, and numerous bug fixes. The Document Display and System Driver are also new in this version.

Version 1.4.9 - LabVIEW 2013 - Released February 19, 2015. This version has numerous UI improvements, automated internet-based feedback and bug reports, and several minor bug fixes. Although customers with source code releases can convert MICAS-X to later versions of LabVIEW, it is advised that they continue to use the release version if at all possible, as that will enable more effective technical support.

Version 1.4.0 - LabVIEW 2013 - Released October, 2014. This version includes substantial new features and improvements, including improved performance of Sequences and Commands, a free Limited Demo version, and 10 new Commands including Commands for using a second Channel's value to act on the Target Channel (e.g. Add Channel To Channel). In addition, an Array Driver has been created which allows Channels to be sequenced through an arbitrary set of values, and the Multi Display has been released. Each instance of the Multi Display can have up to six Views, with each View presenting a different combination of channels to graph and controls that are available to the operator.

Version 1.3.5 - LabVIEW 2013 - Released July, 2014. New features include the Launch Command for executing a VI or a Windows program, and new Drivers for Alicat pressure and flow controllers and the Airmar weather station. New Instruments include the Ramp Instrument for creating higher-precision timed ramps than Sequences allow, and the SMPS instrument for scanning a Differential Mobility Analyzer.

Version 1.3.0 - LabVIEW 2013 - Released February, 2014. This release include minor improvements and fixes, as well as the official transition to LabVIEW 2013.

Version 1.2.0 - LabVIEW 2012 - Released November, 2013 . This is the first commercially-available version of MICAS-X to be released. This version included many improvements and bug fixes, including a revised data buffer for increased performance.

MICAS-X Demo Manual - Use this document as a quick start guide the first time you run install and run MICAS-X. Although it is written primarily for the Limited Demo version of MICAS-X, it can be used with the full version as well.

MICAS-X Programmers Manual - A Programmer's Manual for MICAS-X is under development. The preliminary version is distributed with the full version of MICAS-X.

MICAS-X Student Edition Manual - This manual addresses issues that are unique to the Student Edition of MICAS-X.

MICAS-X Change Log - This document lists the changes made to each version of MICAS-X and each of its modules.

Recommendations - A list of recommendations for configuring a Windows computer for data acquisition using MICAS-X or other LabVIEW program.

MICAS-X SE Ramp Demo - This video demonstrates how to use MICAS-X with a configuration that requires no external hardware. The video is written assuming you are using the source-code version of the Student Edition of MICAS-X, but the same demo can be used with the compiled version of MICAS-X SE and with any other licensed version of MICAS-X. The config file below can be downloaded for this demo if you do not have the Student Edition of MICAS-X.

Ramp Demo Config File - This is a copy of the configuration file used in the demo video above. This config file is distributed with the Demo and SE versions of MICAS-X, but can be downloaded here for use with any other version of MICAS-X.

Ramp Demo Instructions - This file has instructions used with the Ramp Demo. It is included with the Demo and SE versions of MICAS-X, but can be copied from here for use with other versions. Place the file in the C:\OCC\MICAS-X Support\Documents folder before running MICAS-X.
