Custom LabVIEW
Original Code Consulting provides LabVIEW programming from instrument drivers to complete applications. We have nearly four decades of combined LabVIEW experience in laboratory data acquisition, experiment control, and data analysis and review tools, and over 22 years as a LabVIEW consultant and National Instruments Alliance Member in Colorado. Our previous projects have included DAQ, serial, and custom interfaces to mass spectrometers, test and measurement equipment, high speed digitizers, analytical chemistry instruments, lasers and optical systems, and a wide variety of industrial machinery. Although many of our consulting projects have been in the R&D world (academic, government, and industrial), we also have extensive experience in commercial and industrial applications such as process monitoring and production test.
Projects
Original Code Consulting offers its customers assistance in design and development of scientific instruments and sophisticated test and calibration tools. OCC has a team of highly skilled sub-contractors in areas of mechanical, electrical, and optical engineering, custom machining, assembly, and testing. Combined with OCC’s software development, integration, and project management expertise, we provide sophisticated custom solutions with a track record of being on schedule and within budget.
MICAS-X
MICAS-X is a software framework written in LabVIEW and designed to be an extensible, wide-ranging platform for the efficient development of scientific instrumentation acquisition and control software. MICAS-X contains an extensive set of functionality that many, if not most, data acquisition and control systems will need, such as sequencing, alarming, error and event logging, file writing, and more, all of which is easily configured by the end-user. In addition, MICAS-X is highly modular, allowing it to be customized to fit each situation with only those parts of the pre-built functionality that are needed, and, most importantly, the ability to easily integrate custom LabVIEW software for the specific needs of each system. Although MICAS-X was originally designed for scientific instruments, its extreme flexibility has proven it useful in many other applications, including industrial system monitoring and control.
